The 1960s were a decade of growth in La Sierra Academy’s student life, facilities, and extracurricular programs. Yearbooks from the period point to an active school community shaped by academics, practical training, athletics, recreation, and close faculty relationships. Through these changes, La Sierra Academy continued to serve students as a distinct Adventist school community in Riverside.
Archive note: The 1960 and 1961 yearbooks were combined Grades 1-12 publications. Beginning in 1962, the available annuals represented Grades 7-12, reflecting a shift away from the earlier all-school format. For this reason, the 1960s archive uses single yearbook entries rather than separate elementary, junior high, and high school sections.
