LSA CLUBS

Student-led Clubs Develop Skills and Friendships

Each year students can sign up for interest-based clubs, led by their peers, to have fun building friendships and honing skills with the hobbies of their choice. Different club opportunities are available each year, as students can start new clubs if their particular interest does not yet have an organization. Each club has one faculty sponsor.

National Honor Society

More than just an honor roll, NHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. To maintain NHS membership status, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7, no course grade lower than a B- and who are sophomores, juniors, or seniors. In addition to the scholarship requirement, the National Honor Society also requires demonstrated participation in school and NHS sponsored activities. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. Since 1921 NHS has been recognizing the nation’s most outstanding students. The club emphasizes educational enrichment activities, including education field trips.

  • Embrace God’s world by
  • Dedicating ourselves to a life of
  • Service

To educate themselves and others about how to best take care of the earth God has created, students organized the Green Team. Members coordinate a variety of activities to meet the overarching goal, including the maintenance of a recycling program, bi-annual beach cleanups, and collaborating with the Junior High Green Team to participate in the City of Riverside’s Clean Campus Competition. Members also make posters, present at assemblies, host an annual jean drive for homeless teenagers, and get together to watch documentaries.Â
